The Moores Cancer Center at the University of California San Diego, in collaboration with the Institute for Public Health at San Diego State University, conducted this needs assessment to better understand and elevate the cancer prevention and healthcare needs of LGBTQIA+ communities in San Diego County.

Acknowledgements: We are deeply grateful to the many community members who shared their time, experiences, and perspectives by completing surveys and participating in interviews. Your openness and honesty made this report possible and will help guide efforts to improve services and support for LGBTQIA+ communities.

We especially thank our advisory board members and the staff and clients from Family Health Centers of San Diego, the San Diego LGBT Community Center, the North County LGBTQ Resource Center, the University of California San Diego (Mother, Child and Adolescent HIV Program; and Owen Clinic), Christie’s Place, and Vista Community Clinic for their meaningful contributions.
