Students Needed – Paid Positions

The IPH is currently in need of multiple students to serve as short-term moderators/facilitators at community forums around the county in October and November. Forums are part of a larger initiative by the County of San Diego to gather feedback from community members on Behavioral Health Services in an effort to plan and improve future services. Community forums will be held at 9 different locations around the county with 50 to 120 attendees per forum. Community members will be seated at round tables of 8-10 people with one moderator at each table. Students are asked to commit to at least 3 forums. The time commitment is 4 hours per forum.

Compensation

Duties

• Attend a training session to learn qualitative data gathering and facilitation
• Learn and communicate Behavioral Health Services
• Facilitate small group discussions, including note-taking
• Set up and break down events

Experience & Special Skills

• Bachelor’s degree, Graduate degree in process @ SDSU
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor
• Desire to work with community members
• Ability to attend trainings and commit to 3+ forums
