End Violence Against
Women (EVAW) International provides effective, victim centered,
multi-disciplinary training and expert consultation regarding crimes
of sexual assault and
domestic violence. EVAW International also seeks to identify and disseminate
effective primary prevention programs for men and risk reduction programs
for women.
Fred J. Hansen Institute for World Peace
The mission of the Fred J. Hansen Institute for World Peace is to promote peaceful relations among adversary nations through cooperation on programs of mutual benefit and interest. In particular, most programs focus on economic and peace issues.
Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice
Dedicated to fostering peace, cultivating justice, and creating
a safer world, the Joan B. Kroc Institute
for Peace & Justice (IPJ) of the University of San Diego is an international nonprofit organization
working
to improve the lives of those caught in the web of armed conflict and
human rights abuses.
Survivors of Torture, International
Survivors of
Torture, International (SOT) is
an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for survivors
of politically-motivated torture and
their families who live in San Diego County. Since 1997, SURVIVORS
has helped more than 650 torture survivors from more than 55 countries
to
recover from their traumas through a holistic program including medical,
dental, psychiatric, psychological, legal and social services. SOT's
mission includes educating the professional communities and the general
public about torture and the needs of torture
survivors.
