Alliance Healthcare Foundation
Alliance Healthcare Foundation focuses on improving the healthcare delivery system for the medically under-served in San Diego County. As San Diego County's only nonprofit, independent healthcare foundation, they support progressive programs and give a public voice to the critical healthcare needs of communities.

American Lung Association of San Diego and Imperial County
The mission of the American Lung Association is to prevent lung disease and promote lung health.

The California Endowment
The California Endowment is a private, statewide health foundation that was created in 1996 as a result of Blue Cross of California's creation of WellPoint Health Networks, a for-profit corporation. This conversion set the groundwork for their mission: to expand access to affordable, quality health care for underserved individuals and communities, and to promote fundamental improvements in the health status of all Californians.

The California Native American Research Center for Health
The California Native American Research Center for Health (CA-NARCH) is a partnership of Tribal / Urban Indian organizations and academic institutions committed to working together to increase the number of American Indian/Alaska Native scientists and health professionals and, to reduce health disparities in Native American populations.

Center for Justice and Reconciliation, Point Loma Nazarene University
The Center for Justice and Reconciliation exists to study poverty and oppression and teach Christian means of social engagement.

Loma Linda University Adventist Health Sciences Center
Loma Linda University Adventist Health Sciences Center is a Seventh-day Adventist educational health-sciences institution with 3,000 students located in Southern California. Eight schools and the Faculty of Religion comprise the University organization. More than 55 programs are offered by the schools of Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Science and Technology, and the Graduate School.

Rest Haven Preventorium for Children
Rest Haven Preventorium for Children was first established in 1920 as an open-air camp for children who had been exposed to tuberculosis and has evolved into a child-oriented foundation that grants financial support to needy San Diego and Imperial County children. Children of parents who are unable to financially care for their health needs, that the need is immediate and not covered by other agencies—are considered for medical, dental, optical, therapy, hearing, childcare, and nutritional expense assistance. Referrals come from public and private social agencies or from the medical and dental community.

Scripps Whittier Institute for Diabetes
Scripps Whittier Institute for Diabetes provides resources for innovative diabetes research, education, and patient care. The Whittier acts as a catalyst for collaboration among leading organizations to effect a cure for diabetes.

Tariq Khamisa Foundation
Tariq Khamisa Foundation (TKF) was founded by Azim Khamisa after the 1995 shooting death of his 20-year-old son Tariq by a 14-year-old gang member. TKF is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to "stopping children from killing children" and breaking the cycle of youth violence. Azim Khamisa & Ples Felix, the grandfather of his son's assailant, have joined together to speak to schoolchildren about the devastation caused by gangs, violence, and revenge and the importance of becoming "peacemakers."
