Agency Request for Intern
Submit an Internship OpportunityThe Institute for Public Health assists local public health agencies by facilitating collaboration between students at the Graduate School of Public Health at SDSU and staff at organizations engaged in public health activities. Our website provides a place for students and agency staff to begin the student internship placement process. If you work in a local public health agency and can provide an internship opportunity to one or more SDSU Graduate School of Public Health students, please review the guidelines at: http://www.publichealth.sdsu.edu/fieldpractice/sites/. Once you and your agency is prepared for a student and has a project in mind, you can complete the Internship Opportunity Form in order to begin the process of becoming a formal site. <<Submit an Internship Opportunity Form >> After submitting the internship opportunity form, you will be contacted by the Field Placement Coordinator to begin the process of becoming a formal site for students. Once approved, your position will be distributed through the Graduate School of Public Health listserv. In addition to submitting the Internship Opportunity Form, sites must also develop an Internship Description and submit to the Field Placement Coordinator. Contact information for the position must be included and will be posted for public viewing. Students will contact your organization directly to inquire about or apply for the position.
