About the IPH

Susan Hedges, MPH, CHES

Susan Hedges is an Adjunct Research Assistant Professor for the Maternal and Child Health Initiative. Trained in public health with an emphasis in health promotion, Ms. Hedges is also a nationally credentialed Certified Health Education Specialist. Her primary areas of research interest are maternal and child health, health education, community health, and prevention program design and evaluation.

Ms. Hedges' areas of expertise include:

• Maternal and infant home visiting programs
• Family support programs
• Qualitative methods, including focus groups
• Maternal and child health
• Community health measurement
